FAQ

1. Is This The World Drum?

No. This is not The World Drum. The World Drum has been at rest for quite some time and, to this day, has not resumed her journey.

The PeaceDrum was born from Marga's dream and from the desire to create a new initiative centred around connection.

The PeaceDrum is neither a competitor nor an alternative to The World Drum. She was created as a complementary initiative from the heart, with deep respect for the Guardians of The World Drum and for her mission.

We sincerely hope that one day, both Drums may meet and unite with one another during a ceremony.

2.What Conditions Apply When Inviting The PeaceDrum?

  1. Every gathering or ceremony centred around The PeaceDrum must always be free of charge for participants. No profit-making activities may be organised around the Drum, as The PeaceDrum is intended as a gift for everyone and must remain accessible to all.

A voluntary contribution may be requested to help cover expenses. We also ask organisers to consider the Drum's onward journey, so that she can continue traveling to other places and people.

  1. Gatherings centred around The PeaceDrum are open to everyone, regardless of origin, religion, gender or skin colour. The PeaceDrum invites people to connect beyond their differences, with respect and equality for every human being.

  2. The Drum can be requested by emailing info@thepeacedrum.com.

  3. For all conditions, please visit the Invite The PeaceDrum page.

The PeaceDrum is a free initiative for the organiser.

We do not charge anyone who invites The PeaceDrum.

3. How Does The PeaceDrum Travel?

The PeaceDrum sometimes travels on her own. In that case, she is carefully shipped inside a protective hard case so that she can continue her journey safely.

She can also be passed on personally from one location to another, allowing Guardians to meet and share a meaningful moment of connection during the handover.

4.  Who Is Responsible for The PeaceDrum During Her Journey?

Each Guardian is responsible for receiving The PeaceDrum safely, caring for and treating her with respect during her stay, and ensuring that she continues her journey to the next location or Guardian at the agreed time.

6.How Are The PeaceDrum's Schedule and Journey Coordinated?

The PeaceDrum's schedule and coordination are managed by her Guardian in Belgium, Guy.

Whenever possible, he plans each request in consultation with the organising group or organisation. Together, we review the schedule, the Drum's journey and the possibilities available at that time.
